Entrance Preview
I gave the CET exam for IP university and got a rank of 1800. Except for surajmal college i was eligible for all colleges in the university with JIMS rated as 3rd best college of the university. Maharaja agrasen was the second best but it was located in rohini so i dropped that college and opted for JIMS.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum includes a well defined set of rules and regulations especially *no ragging*. A formal dress code is also to be maintained.the course structure is also well defined almost equivalent to the b.com(hons) course.
Internships Opportunities
The college has given opportunities to be an intern in companies like titan and tanishq under the sales category. Stipend was fairly acceptable at 6000 for a month.
College Events
Various events are celebrated in our college. Sports include the inter jims and inter ip university in the field of volleyball,athletics,badminton,etc. I secured the second position in badminton interjims and 1st position in volleyball and respectively participated and represented my college in inter-ip. The cultural events include kshitij, zest and dandia,rock stars night.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is quite expensive rs75,000. Being a management college it very much expensive as compared to the delhi university. Delhi university has a maximum fees of rs 20,000 since its a government university. JIMS has its own fees structure as it is one of the top bschools.
Fees and Financial Aid
I haven't known of any scholarship/loan provided by my college and neither i have availed any. It does not provide any such facilities for the students.
Campus Life
The campus life is above average. The lab facilities are good along with wifi. All classrooms are air conditioned. No sports facilities provided as such. It has a good canteen we have different societies participatinf in different competitions like debate socitey,theatre and music.
Exam Structure
The internal exams are held twice in a semester on continuous days in a week after which end semester exams takes place which are the most hectic ones. Internals are much easier.
Faculty
The faculty of jims kalkaji is one of the best rated ones. It come under top b-schools with experienced teachers and viable knowledge. They provide proper guidance as to how to tackle the exams nd even helps to determine a students potential. This give jims a great advantage over other colleges.
