Course Curriculum Overview
The time table was not too hectic, but still managed to give ample time to practical learning and workshops. The theoretical learning was balanced well with the practical knowledge. The exam structure was regular, following the standard pattern, having two semesters each year.
Placement Experience
G. B. Pant Institute of Technology conducted various training workshops to prepare the students for interviews during campus placements. The workshops included Personality Development, Interview Techniques and How to Prepare for Group Discussion.Many companies visited during the campus placements like - Flour Daniel, DMRC, ASC Infratech and many others.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being an SC student, the institute provided benefits while paying the fees. The fees for the first year was just Rs. 6000 whereas for the second and third year, it came down to Rs. 2000 each. Education of this level at a feasible fee structure is one major reason why studying at G. B. Pant Institute of Technology was an easy decision to make.
Campus Life
One of the extracurricular activity that I opted for was the NCC. I had to undergo military training as a part of the educational norm and other types of adventure oriented training like trekking and mountaineering. We celebrated the National NCC Day on the last Sunday of November and had a Republic Day Camp from the 28th December to 30th January every year.
Admission
The eligibility criteria for admission at the G. B. Pant Institute of Technology is clearing High School with a recognised board and securing minimum 35% in 10th grade. I did so, and applied online and submitted my documents; after which I had to visit the college for submitting the fees and completing the formalities.
Faculty
The faculty of the Civil Engineering department were very well experienced and dedicated professionals. They made learning simpler and fun for all the students. The faculty members shared their knowledge through the workshops and laboratory practicals and made sure we learn the best from the best.
