The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. The teachers also continuously conduct tests and examinations for improving the academics of the students

Fees and Financial Aid

DAULAR RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI offers various courses and the HONOURS course that im enrolled in is BA HONS ENGLISH,generally a 3 year course and the fees lies between 32000-35000 a year, the examination fee of 1100rs is paid additionally per sem for conducting of theory as well as practical exams. The fee structure for EWS is same as the general category, there is no separate or lower fees for the EWS category especially . whereas for the SC/ST candidates the fees tends to be much lower than that of the general category. The approximate fees for SC/ST quota students lies between 19000-20000 a year. The college also provides financial aid and merits to students belonging to SC/ST or EWS quota, which leads to further lowering the fees. The college also offers special scholarships for EWS and SPECIALLY ABLED students to further reduce their financial burden. Furthermore the college also provides fee concessions based on the financial income of the students or their guardians. Kindly note that the fees may vary across different courses such as that of B.Sc, B.com, BA and tenure of certain courses such as MA or other Research degrees.

Campus Life

My overall experience at the DAULAT RAM COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, UNIVERISTY OF DELHI is very special and engaging. There exists many societies for perusing various different interests such as dance society, singing society, fashion society, debate society etc which makes the college life more engaging. The college not just within itself but also offers a better campus life out of the college, the north campus is very vibrant with its vibe and the annual fests of DAULAT RAM COLLEGE- is a glorious cultural fest which adds to the reputation of the college

Admission

I applied to many colleges and had a high score in CUET as well but i specially chose to be in a girls college such as DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI in north campus. The vibe around the college is emmaculate, we are offered to engage in diversity and continously interact within and outside the college. The entrace procedure for DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI is through CUET entrance test- the score should vary between 450-600/700 for BA hons courses and 300-400 for BCS courses and 550-650+/700 for BCOM courses My reason for choosing this college was firstly it being a women's college and secondly the faculty members proved to be the best here

The faculty at DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI is engaging, knowledgable and supportive. The faculty is approachable and highly aimed at improving academics of students at the college. The faculty members apply book knowledge into real life and practical application and organised many events such as MUN's , TED TALKS and mentor- mentee discussions every once a week. Since the college is in NORTH CAMPUS, there exists many spots to hangout- cafes in GTB nagar , my favourite ones include- GRAMMABLE, QD's and PAPPARIZZA . Within kamla nagar there is a whole market with various street food and a clothing market which also offers students to shop, there is also a CITY MALL around the college radius and a very famous "sudama chai spot" which is perfect for a winter evening

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
