Remarks
The college has both good and bad remarks. The good ones are that the fees is low, the faculties are highly professional and well qualified and there are lots of extracurricular activities. The bad ones are that the relationship between the student professor is not equal, sometimes there is a lag in studies or syllabus completion and the infrastructure is not maintained properly.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is set by the Anna University, Chennai campus. They follow the R15 regulation subjects for my branch with updated syllabus and electives. The exam pattern is very similar to other colleges, and follow a bi-annual semester evaluation.
Placement Experience
The placement drives conducted in this campus is very low and not many students get placed in on campus drives. But the companies which visit the campus for recruitment are highly established MNCs such as Reliance, Google, IBM, TCS, CTS, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was this college is feasible. The college is a government aided college, because of which the fees are affordable. I had to pay around 33,500 INR per year for the duration of four years to complete my course degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are not many scholarships available to students in the campus, but the students who belong to the caste SC/ST and other minorities group are given exemption of fees and in contrast the government pays them back.
Campus Life
There is a active NSS and sports club in the college, which organizes several events in the campus. Even there are lots of clubs present in the college, where students can join different clubs and give their active participation.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are worse here. The hostel facilities are not that good, and rooms are also not that clean. Even though the cost of the campus hostel rentals are low, the mess facilities and other required facilities are not that good. You can check the PGs available outside the campus for accommodation.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is not big enough. They records are not maintained properly. Only the persons who get successful are kept in touch and no one else. The seniors students are friendly and helps us out in various situations.
Admission
To get admission in this campus, you need to score good marks in Physics, Maths and Chemistry. From the above three subjects, they will calculate a cumulative cutoff marks of about 200 marks. For admission you need to apply for Tamil Nadu Engineering Counselling procedure. You cutoff marks should be above 150 or above to get admission in this college.
Faculty
The faculties are college are well qualified. They have higher level of knowledge, but their rapport with the students is not that good. The relationship is rather rude and not that friendly, and sometimes there is also biased decisions.
