Remarks

The college management were a bit strict in certain grounds.

Entrance Preview

WBJEE, I ranked 9000 in that and I had a dream of learning in this college and thus I selected this college over others. Also it was near to my house.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course included all things like :Electrical, Electronics, maths, numerical abilities, Automata, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering.Electives included: Mobile technology.

Internships Opportunities

There no such internship offered during the college days in Kolkata and it applies same fro all the B.Tech collages. It is same for all the collages in kolkata.

Placement Experience

Placement is good, but not excellent. The placement cell is quite active and tries hard for all the students irrespective of anything.

College Events

The collage had events like, freshers party, Regional Puja festivals, Farewell party and many more. The local festivities included bishwakarma puja and saraswati puja.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees per semester was 20100 and the fee was expensive and bit on the expensive side.

Exam Structure

The Labs were very good and the faculties were very good and helping by nature. They are very knowledgeable.

Faculty

The faculty of the college was just awesome with great place to study and gain knowledge. The faculty is very helping in nature and helps the students from time to time in doubts and clarifications.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year.
