Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is similar to all the Anna University campuses across the TamilNadu. It follows R15 regulation syllabus of the subjects and other elective courses. The exam pattern remains the same and is conducted semester wise. There are lots of practical sessions evaluated during each semester. There is compulsory project and thesis submission during the last semester of the course.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities for my department is quite low and the overall placement records of this college is also not that good. The college tells its students to attend minimum three internships during the last two years of the course work in industries or other organizations related to the subject.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite affordable by the parents as its not that expensive and can be easily arranged by applying for educational loans. The amount of fees to be paid per year is 33,500 INR per year for a total of four years.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship options are not much available in the college, as it is a government college and the students who got admission through the TNEA counselling process, already has 50% of the original fees waived off. The scholarships are only given to students who belong to the caste SC/ST and other minority group communities.
Campus Life
The lab facilities are good and we have all the needed equipments in the college. But the difficulty is that they are not allowed to handle or use them, as they are afraid of breakage. Also many of them don't work and have not been repaired since years.
Hostel Facilities
I didn't opt for hostel facilities provided by the college, as I didn't like the rooms and other facilities provided. The rentals are actually low comparatively to other colleges, but the facilities are not up to the mark. You can stay in outside PGs where you can easily find rentals for 5000 INR per month.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni association is poor in this college. They dont have frequent contacts and updates about them. The seniors are very good and friendly. They help us out in many things from studies to other situations and issues.
Admission
For the enrollment into this college, you need to score good cut off marks as per the Tamil Nadu state board. Then you need to enroll for TNEA counselling process, from where you can choose this campus if your cutoff marks is above the cutoff marks decided by the college management.
Faculty
The faculties of my department are good. They teach the concepts well but they still don't know the concepts fully. Some of them are pursuing doctorates while teaching and conduct their own research. The rapport between the students and teachers are not equal and is actually dominate and biased.
