Course Curriculum Overview
As it is a five-year-long course plus an extra 6 months, we had to work rigorously. We also had a mandatory internship at the end of our course. We had Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Biochemistry, General Medicine, Microbiology as our subjects.
Placement Experience
Some students go for MD/MS Diploma after studying MBBS who want to continue with their medical career. I was one of them. Some of my batchmates went for working in private hospitals, or government jobs. Placement here for us was provided in the form of internships.
College Events
We celebrate World Environment Day, Eye World Anaesthesia Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Antibiotic Awareness Week etc. The college also organised an Eye Donation Awareness Rally. The students organise quiz sessions, workshops etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for MBBS costs 14,663 followed by examination fees of 12,000 and another hostel, canteen, books cost depending upon the student. The total fees for pursuing MBBS will be approx 80,000. Here the college provides a chance to drop out after the first year.
Campus Life
The college building is old but it is well maintained. The labs are in good condition. They were recently developing research blocks, they have separate hostel for boys and girls, the college also has a playground for sports activities and fitness sessions.
Admission
I got admission in this college through entrance exam (NEET). You also must have passed your 10+2 examination and must have a valid score. You'll be called if you are one of the shortlisted candidates. You need to submit the necessary documents during the time of admission.
Faculty
The teachers assisted students in answering any of our questions via mail or in person, they offered help with internships, they had extended office hours and would also write letters of recommendation for us. They also conducted feedback sessions on our research papers.
