Excellent atmosphere for learning

The infrastructure of the college can be considered average. But with the course of time, it is improving. Also, there has been reports of ragging in the campus. Hostel facilities are to be improved also. Research is also not upto the mark.

Course curriculum was well and good and was structured such that one gets proper knowledge about the course. Monthly exams were conducted along with practical exams. Remember , one needs to study a lot in order to pass these exams along with the yearly held final exam.

Being a medical college, there is no such placement offers taking place as such. But the knowledge learned from here might help you to establish as a successful doctor or create your own chamber one day. However, in our 5.5 years of course, after completing 4.5 years of curriculum, the last year we have to do a compulsory rotating Internship.

The college organises a lot of events and seminars and conferences. It celebrates all those days which are famous for certain health awareness like world environment day, world anaesthesia day, antibiotic awareness week etc.

CMC is a Government affiliated college. So the fees are comparatively lesser and affordable for the students. The overall fees structure does not exceed 1lakh. Exams fees are around 12k, college fees 15k and there are separate costs for books depending on the number of books you buy.

CMC is improving both in terms of academic and sports . I would definitely encourage everyone to go have a great extra curricular activities there and enjoy oneself along with the hectic academic pressure.

Coimbatore Medical College has its own separate boys and girls hostel within the campus. I opted for the girls hostel. The availability of seats generally depends on how many people applied for it and the size of the rooms. Mostly in the first year, you have to share your room with 5 other girls of the same batch. This might change from the second year as it is somewhat obvious to have three students per room. Hostel foods are not upto mark. Infrastructure is good. You cannot stay outdoors after 6pm. Overall, hostel Life is amazing and you will enjoy it.

Seniors were always helpful and fun loving people. I stayed in hostel , so I got the chance of interacting with a lot of seniors for a long time. We had a great time together. They were really approachable and friendly and made me understand the topics more clearly and efficiently.

Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital is a Government affiliated college. It is recognised by the medical council of India. Students are admitted for the courses on the basis of marks in NEET. One must hold a good rank in NEET in order to secure a place here. I was interested in MBBS . I secured a rank in the second counseling.

The college boosts of a brilliant and experienced faculty. We have many teachers who have studied from abroad. Our teachers were really helpful and approachable. Lectures can be pretty boring at times but they are knowledgeable so make sure you attend them.
