Entrance Preview

I took the AIEEE exam and scored a rank of around 4000. Being in my Home state I opted for this Institute. With the recent trend of development in electronic gadgets and networks I was fascinated to take up this subject.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is good. Theory labs and projects are given almost equal importance with regular assignments, assessments ans exams held from time to time which help students in nurturing the course and being in touch with studies.

Internships Opportunities

It was nice. Many companies dont come. We need to apply through Training and placement cell of NIT Rourkela. I did my intership in DRDO. Microsoft and Dell took students for internships with 25000 as stipend per month.

College Events

The fests are arranged beautifully and everyone waits eagerly for celebrity nights in month of March or april where singers like KK, Neeraj Sridhar, Jonita Gandhi, Sonu Nigam salim suleman have performed and won hearts. The tech fest is one of its kind with robotics and cool coding competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible with 40000 per semester including the academics hostel rent and fooding too when i was a student. Now there is hike in government fees I guess.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not as such was available on a larger scale but schemes that came up were infromed and students were encouraged to go to DAAD and MITACs programmes for scholarship. The best industrial training project in summer was awarded 10000 for pre final year students. State bank of India, NIT rourkela provides students loans at attractive interest rates.

Exam Structure

There are 2 exams per semesters. One is a Mid Semester exam weightage of 30 marks and other one End semester of 50 marks. The rest 20 marks is teachers assessment which the professor decides accordingly.

Faculty

The faculty is average and are available for you. Classes are regular asd so is attendance. Professors are cool yet strict. They eventually make you fall in love with your own subject.The library here has a wide collection of books and the timings are appropriate for any student to access all the time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

An Honest Look at Life and Learning at CV Raman Global University

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

NIT ROURKELA THE ACTUAL REVIEW

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in.
