Remarks

The college has a Hospital with 7000 OP patients and 2000 inpatients per day. It is a very good college with esteemed faculty who provide the students with an excellent experience in the medical field from the 1st year itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course duration is 4 and a half years with 1 year of posting. The curriculum is very interesting and intriguing. The exams take place once a year and there are tests and assignments throughout the year. Practical training is given a lot of importance.

Placement Experience

The college provides the internship posting to the final year students. Very good clinical knowledge is provided to them in the posting. It is referred to as compulsory residential rotatory internship. Te stipend is Rs.20,000 a month.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure per year doesn't exceed Rs.1lakh because it is a government institution. The fee for the MBBS course is such: Rs.15000 for college fees, Rs.12000 for exam fees, and Rs.70000 for hostel and mess fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers the Tamil Nadu government scholarship for 4 consecutive years. The amount differs for each category. Backward class gets Rs.10000/year, ST gets Rs.12000/year and scheduled caste gets Rs.20000/year.

Campus Life

Every year we conduct inter college cultural and sports meet, inter college workshop, Feast, Convocation ceremony, Medical exhibition and medical camps, Holi celebration, Kerala day, Quiz competition, etc. The college infrastructure is made very well.

Hostel Facilities

The college hostel is very well connected to the play ground and other recreational facilities. There is a hostel president and a secretary. The hostel is for both boys and girls and is very well constructed and comfortable.

Admission

I got admission in the medical program through the NEET entrance. After qualifying for the exam by fulfilling the eligibility criteria, i gave the exam and scored very well. I went for the counseling in which i got this college.

Faculty

Well educated medical practitioners with great experience and teaching skills form our faculty. Their guidance during training and posting has helped us a great deal. The faculty is very knowledgeable, cooperative and student friendly.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

GOOD PLACEMENT RECORD

Admission:

I got 1150 out of 1200 in my 12th grade. 199 out of my cut off mark 200 for merit.Application for Engineering and Medical Counseling. Selected in both. But I prefer M.B.B.S than aeronautical engineering. I went to counseling in Chennai and then chose Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital in Tamil Nadu.
