Life in MRIMS

College should work on infrastructure which could have been better otherwise everything else is great. Faculty, hostels, events and other things are at par.I am happy and proud to be part of MRIMS and I thank everyone who is part of our college.

MRIMS offers 5 and a half year duration MBBS programme strictly adhering to MCI approved curriculum. As per my experience faculty is best, friendly and helpful in every possible way. Exams are conducted annually with 6 monthly term tests which help students prepare well and with ease. Overall experience is very much satisfying.

Placements: There's no such thing in Medical colleges i think. As per the alumni is concerned, many known to me are working in top hospitals getting good amount of money. College itself pays interns on monthly basis which is sufficient to make up for the needs. If someone wishes to do his/her internship in some other hospital, there's no objection to that.

The annual fee for mbbs course including hostel charges sums up to 13 lacs approx. Management quota students have to pay more, 25 lacs approximately. I have friends known to me who study in other parts of country paying much more than i do. Therefore i must say it is not that much expensive in comparison to other medical colleges.

I belong to minority community and i get scholarship from ministry of minority affairs to pursue my studies. There are other scholarship options as well like Merit cum means and other government sponsored scholarships which you can avail. College also supports students who want to study on loan, i know few students who are studying after taking loan.

College has up to date equipments in labs and infrastructure is good. College organises multiple CME?s throughout the year. There?s no discrimination on basis of gender and ratio is almost equal. Students from every ethnicity are present in college.

Hostel life in MRIMS is as per standards set by MCI. I have a two seater room with sufficient space. Mess is clean and provides a diverse food menu. Hostel fee is 1 lac rupees which is less in comparison to other medical colleges.

Seniors are helpful and treat us well. There?s nothing like ragging in the college in fact strict rules are followed for the same. Many pass out students are placed in top medical institutes of the country which encourages us a lot.

Mode of selection in the college is through Neet score. College invites online applications with valid neet score. I applied and got selected in 2nd round of counselling and after that admission formalities were done in a hassle free manner. Overall experience was not a hectic one.

Faculty in our college is very much experienced and knowledgeable. They use audio and visual ways during lectures which helps us a lot. Some professors are strict during lectures but not out of class. They encourage and build confidence in students through their experience. I am proud to have such teachers in our college.
