Entrance Preview

I had given IIT,AIEEE and CET. I scored very poor grades in each if the exam due to multitasking for all competitive exams. Got this college in 3rd list by CET grades.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Curriculum mostly includes all branch subjects in 1st year and then branch wise courses for the rest of the years. All the important subjects regarding to the branch u chose are covered but practical knowledge is close to zero percent.

Placement Experience

0.5

No placements at all for Civil department. Computers and Extc people have few chances of haveing placemnets though but it's not always 100% sure.

College Events

3

Atlast something good about the college can be talked about. The only best thing in this college is the Festivals which are celebrated. Don't make ur expectations high. The Festivals celebrated are not grand but it's totally fun. Everything is organised by the student council and no help is offered by college. It has pros as well as cons. Being in student council core team,Organizing fests and stuff is ful of fun and he'll lot of experience but due to lack of budget provided to us by college and very few permissions given, we are restricted to very few things to do in our fests. Thus causing tremendous loss of our talent as well as reputation of college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our fee is approximately Rs 75,000 for open candidates Rs 35,000 for OBC and Rs 10,000 for SC. About other candidates I have no proper idea. The fee structure is annually.

Campus Life

2

There are no extra curricular activity but you can be a part of student council or branch based committees. Those are you best shot to add some more certifiactes to you files.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

There is no hostel facilities provided by VIVA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. If you want you can rent a house nearby to college but my suggestion is Opt for a place which is close to Virar station as college is a bit outskirt.

Alumni/Alumna

All are the unfortunate ones who got low grades due to so eating for vivid competitive exams and ending up in this college. So everyone have a mutual story about being in VIVA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY So yep seniors are totally great.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is like 2 units per semester,20 marks each. Viva's before semester exam. Our semester exam goes approximately a whole month. Yes u heard it right. It's very hectic due to those unwanted and non helpful assignments we have to write. Plus the absurd behaveiour we have to face from our faculties.

Faculty

1

Frankly speaking about the faculty of VIVA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is less experienced and not potential for teaching. HOD of Civil Dept is worst then u can imagine. But being an Engineering student u shouldn't be dependent on faculty for sure.

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

I'm choosing this course because I'm interested in programming languages. Faculty members here are at the best level. They are very supportive and knowledgeable. They made lectures most interactive. All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
