The best Engineering College

IIIT provided me with the best of education and exposure from the finest of doctorate teachers and professionals. I got the package of INR 8 lakhs per annum from my college? placement. The faculty and the education given by them is exceptional. The college is itself very relaxing and gives a stress free environment. I got to unleash my hidden sports' talent and an IT professional.

The computer science course was 4 years long and divided into 8 semesters. Each semester we had to study 5-6 subjects inclusive of Communication skills and Behaviour science. The practicals were taken separately. The curriculum was focused on maximum learning but was relaxing for all computer enthusiasts. Attendance was to be maintained at 80%, the externals and internals were taken on semester basis and the final result was on the basis of both the semester performance. Practical tests were conducted separately and 40% of the practical marks were added in the final result.

At the starting of 4th year, many MNCs came to interview us and started the recruitment process, students were already working while completing their graduation. The second time placement cell was opened at the end of 4th year, various companies like Air India, SpiceJet, Indigo, Dhillon Aviation, Hi-Tech, etc came and interviewed us. The selection was on the basis of academic and interview performances. 85% of the students were placed from our batch by the college, maximum package alloted was INR 15 lakhs per annum.

Many events and festivals were celebrated at our college like cultural fests, Literature events, sports day, technical events. Every festival was celebrated and we celebrated the diversity at our college lovingly. Almost all the students used to take part in these events which gave the chance to bond with them and know different people from different backgrounds.

The college fees was submitted annually. The first year was at INR 195,250 and the rest of the three years were INR 188,000. The fees could be given in the form of a demand draft submitted at the college or through the online portals. No cash was accepted. The fees was expensive but the education and placement provided by the college were making it feasible. The scope after the graduation from IIIT was very high, almost everyone used to get placed.

The atmosphere of the university was exciting. It included a lot of gardens and playgrounds. The buildings were designed in an appealing manner with the best infrastructure. We had huge multi purpose and auditorium halls which were spacious and well maintained. The labs and libraries were full of the latest technology and books. Learning was through Ebooks and every student had a personal computer to work on. The music and dance rooms were separately made where we could give time to our hobbies and build talent.

Hostel buildings were nicely constructed with the separated boys and girls hostel. It was guarded by the security guards and under warden surveillance making it a safe and secure place. The mess timings were strict and the food given was tasty and healthy. The gates of the hostel were used to get closed sharp at 10PM to not let students go outside at night. The washrooms and other utilities like room bed, fan,cooler, etc were well designed and cleaned. Overall the environment of the hostel was friendly and polite.

The yearly alumni meet used to take place at the end of each year where our ex seniors came and addressed us about their work and experience in different IT sectors. They guided us to grow in our respective area of computer interest. All the seniors were very polite, they were always ready to help the juniors.

The students who have passed 10+2 examinations along with the JEE MAINS and DASA entrance examinations are eligible to apply in the Btech Course from IIIT. After the examinations i applied online for the college through their official website and attached the required documents. They gave a confirmation mail, the counselling sessions were conducted through a process called CSAB and i was selected for the Btech course in Computer engineering.

The faculty at IIIT was the best. It had all the noble and recognised staff, who were all humble and very helpful. They used to share their work profiles and let us know the scope further the graduation. The faculty was fluent in English language which enabled us to communicate better and understand their teachings. Various PHD holders and scholars used to teach us and guide through the curriculum.
