Course Curriculum Overview
The college offers a good curriculum. The curriculum is prepared in such a way that it helps the students to understand the contemporary social theory and thoughts.Their main is to provide knowledge that helps the students to become professionals in their fields in any type of environment (whether rural or urban).
Placement Experience
there is a placement committee that takes care of the placements or internships for the students of all departments. they also conduct exchange programs where the students get to learn while experiencing new things. One of my senior got an opportunity to visit Maldives during one of the exchange program.
College Events
RGNYID held its first successful convocation ceremony in 2019. the second one held in 2020 was also a successful one. Since,students come from different parts of the country the college celebrates all types of festivals like onam,pongal,ganesh chaturthi etc. the senior students organise fresher's day for the newcomers every year. the college also organises workshops,seminars and conferences time to time.
Fee Structure And Facilities
the college has an affordable fee structure. the total education fee is RS 11,990 for first semester which includes tuition fee,admission fee,library charges,security deposit and computer lab charges. the students of NSS and NYKS are exempted from the fee.
Campus Life
the campus is a 42 acre land surrounded by green belts. The campus is wifi enabled, fully air conditioned with smart class rooms, computer labs with latest technology,incubation centre. it also has gym and yoga rooms for students. the college also provides various clubs that a student can join like social club,theatre club,nature clubetc.
Admission
i had keen interest in psychology since i was a kid. What attracted me the most was human behaviour. When i realized psychology is all about human behaviour and mental processes i decided to go ahead in this field. MY admission in RGNIYD was through an entrance exam. After clearing the exam, i went on to attend the counselling session where i chose my subject (counselling psychology) and then the last step was an interview.
Faculty
They are very friendly and polite. They are impartial to all and are ever ready to help their students. they all are learned and experienced. Like every other college, we also have all sorts of teachers, some are strict,some lenient,some are extremely good etc.
