I appeared for IIT JEE mains and advanced and got this college through mains with a rank of 12393 in general category. I opted for chemical engineering here because it has a very reputed experienced faculty with advanced infrastructure.

The course curriculum covers almost all speheres relating to your department. There are some core courses with an additional choice of electives offered by various departments. The faculty is experienced as the college has a rich history and they have a lot to share from their intellect.

The college offers internships at the end of 3rd year based on merit and some students do manage to get stipend of as high as 15000. Some companies take an exam followed by an interview while others may take based on merit solely. There are internship offers from abroad also. Companies like Reliance come for internship for chemical engineering students.

The placements of this college is one of the best in India. In chemical out of 35 eligible students 28 were placed with an average salary of 7.8 lakhs and a highest of 18 lakhs. It is considered quite good as many salaries increases manifold later.

The technical festival of this college 'Engineer' is the biggest in southern India region with sponsorships from some major companies. Apart from it several minor fests are held throughout the year from different clubs. It includes musical nights, fashion shows and dance events. The cultural fest is held in March 'Incident' and usually offers a performance from a recognised celebrity last year Vishal Shekhar performed in the fest.

The fee structure had been increased the year we joined and compiles for 5 lakhs including hoste, mess and studies. However several scholarships are offered for category students and a mojor chunk of fees is refunded after the four years.

I didn't avail any scholarships or loans myself but several of my friend's get their fees refunded and some apply for loans at minimal rates after coming to the college the seniors can guide you very well with such procedures. It is not a problem to get scholarships for category students if the income of parents is less.

The campus life for me was very enjoyable right from first year after the first few weeks of loneliness and nostalgia I hardly miss my parents now. If you maintain a good friend circle life is going to be a joyride here the gender ratio is 3:1 in favour of boys there a lot of parties happening whenever there is some festival or birthday. There are several technical clubs which you can be a member of from second year. I am a member of CSI Computer Society of India and there is a lot to learn if you manage to be a part of some club. The people here are very friendly and helpful the atmosphere is very friendly with hardly any serious news taking place.

The college has different party/society for people from different states the Andhra population is high here followed by Karnataka and Bihar they maintain good relations within the group and you can ask any queries to your seniors or alumni of the college the alumnus of this college visit frequently to give talks relating to college you can seek help during placements if you had good relations with your senior students.

The exams are usually held within a week in first year but its pretty easy to manage a 7 pointer just by studying on last night. The lab exams are held one or two weeks before the written exam. Overall the examination are a temporary phenomenon which does
