Entrance Preview
I had appeared for IIT JEE mains and advanced and got this college through mains where I secured a rank of 12393 i chose chemical engineering in this college because of highly rated faculty of this department and the facilities of this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college mandated you to collect 180 credits roughly with some core courses and some electives you need to compulsorily do the core courses and can choose from electives offered by various departments such as Energy Technology, Petroleum Engineering, Process Instrumentation, etc.
Internships Opportunities
The college offers internships at the end of third year based on merit some companies offer internships by taking exams and interview you can a stipend of 15,000 some companies that offer internships are Reliance and Essar.
Placement Experience
The placements of this college is quite high relatively last year in chemical department out of 35 eligible students 28 were placed with an average salary of 7.8 lakhs and highest of 18 lakhs and lowest of 4 lakhs it is considered good as the salary tends to increase manifold later.
College Events
The technical fest happens in October named Engineer it holds various workshops, talks and competition to develop the technical talent of students there are dj nights at the end of it the cultural fest happens in March named Incident several fun activities take place including beach competitions last year Vishal Shekhar had come to perform. Several dance, music and fashion events take place apart from this several small fests take place throughout the year organised by various clubs.

The fees is 5 laks over 4 years for everything combined hostel accomadation and mess and academics some money is also refunded at the end of 4 years students can also avail several scholarships and loans.

Several of my friends avail scholarships and loans the category students whose parents have low income can get scholarships quite easily it gives 10000 per semester other than this loans are quite easy to get here as there is bank on campus.
Campus Life
The campus life offered here is the best across all NITs. People here are very friendly and college has a lot of sports facilities the infrastructure is one of the best and several activities are held for the enjoyment of students the gender ratio is 3:1 in favour of boys several parties takes place during festival and birthday culturally is far better than any other NITs of southern region the people are tolerant and very helpful they have a good social and economic status.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel here is pretty decent with double and triple sharing rooms in first year in second year you can choose single or double sharing the mess food is average in first year messes but in following years its good.
Alumni/Alumna
There various states groups where you can interact with your seniors and clarify any doubts they can help you during placements by guiding you effectively the alumni of this college often visit the campus to give talks about the college many people from this college are doing well in life.
Exam Structure
The first year exams are held within a week but its pretty easy to manage a 7 pointer just by studying on last night it's pretty chilled out in first year in following years you need to study when actual learning takes place relating to your department.
