Overall the college management was excellent. The college experience was very fruitful in the long run. We had the advantage of being from the reputed institution.
Entrance Preview
I did M.Sc in Mathematics from Jamia. The university is central university and one of the reputed universities on the country. So i decided to do my PG from there. I got admission there after clearing the entance test and the interview which was simple process.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was in accordance with what was being taught at other good universities. The courses were Linear algebra,Real analysis,Functional analysis,Differential equations,Discrete maths,C,C++,Data structures,Software programming.
Internships Opportunities
Ours was a traditional course. So we were not provided with any internship. But in general the college internship experience was okay. Students got place in well reputed companies.
Placement Experience
Out of our class of 25 students almost 20 were placed within 6 months after passing out. The University enjoys a good reputation. So it gives one an edge while looking for job.
College Events
The University organizes technical,cultural festivals from time to time. They give the talented students the chance to bring themselves out. The seminars and conferences are also periodically organized to give us the information about the latest advances in the field.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very affordable. The University provides cheaper courses in comparison to the other colleges and Universities providing the same course.
Fees and Financial Aid
The University provides various scholarships. It provides scholarship to 1st and second topper of each class as well as to the topper of each faculty.
Campus Life
The Campus life is quite nice and sombre. The labs are well equipped. The sports complex is very big. The atmosphere at the campus is very chilled out.
Hostel Facilities
The Hostel seats are few and considering that students from all over the India come to the University so one must be lucky to get hostel seat. There are a lot of PG's however nearby. The rental is bit on the higher side.
Alumni/Alumna
There was not much interaction with the seniors or the alumni network as no alumni meets were organized. So the university need to improve on that as thatmay give the existing students insight about their future prospects.
Exam Structure
The sessional exams were conducted twice in the year and then there annual exams. So it gives you enough time to prepared for each exam as well as chilling out in between.
Faculty
The faculty was well-qualified. The professors were very cooperative and very knowledgeable. Our problems were always dealt with very nicely. They offere valuable inputs for clearing competitive exams such as NET or pursuing higher education such as Ph.D.
