In IIHR, 170 hectares of irrigated land is a ideal simulation for experimenting and researching the techniques for enhancing the field and horticultural crop superiority. It is the best research institute for agricultural research. I really appreciating and enjoying all the research work we are doing here. The faculty and services provided are first-class.
Course Curriculum Overview
IIHR course are planned with careful planning and continual revision. There are a variety of teaching and education courses available for candidates. A curriculum developer works in organization with teachers to order different types of teaching stuff used for instructional purposes
Placement Experience
For B.Sc. agriculture, the placements are very restricted, but there are numerous agriculture inputs, and Food Company who hire the students, besides there is an extent for M.Sc. programme and AO training with education for junior research companionship exam, and good environment for banking coaching for agriculture officer. Dissimilar agro-based industries are recruiting the graduates from this university. The students are linked in different industries during final year to get a better knowledge. Like fertilizers companies, seed companies and agricultural business product companies will appoint the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There is no straight fee for the post graduate program from the IIHR. The fees for B.Sc are approximately Rs. 85000. So the students of all department feel that is really feasible as compared to other agriculture colleges.
Campus Life
The Bangalore campus has more than 150 hectares of irrigated land. The overall infra is good and the library is fully operational with all the basic features including training cell. The medical facilities are also available within the campus premises. You will get one of the best campus life. There is been some restrictions but college supports u a lot for extra co curricular activities like music dance sports etc. Coming to infrastructure the main campus have enough of everything they need for a university like indoor stadium, biggest auditorium in the Asia, well-appointed laboratories, a first-class library, very fast sports ground and many things.
Alumni/Alumna
IIHR organized the alumni so that the students can get the help from the senior students in their studies. The senior students help the junior students in their notes, how to deal with the papers etc. They share the complete feels how to compact with it.

The Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) is the leading Institute in India dedicated completely too enhancing horticultural efficiency in the country. IIHR has been modification and creating newer technologies to assemble with the generally mandate of the Institute. As a result numerous technologies, package of practices, have emerged that have possible as commercial enterprises to small level entrepreneurs and horticulturists. The institute is concentrated on developing world-class facilities, structures as well as equipment. It is divided into 11 divisions and 4 sections; the institute concentrates on grooming students.
Faculty
The university is blessed with the quality faculty who inspires students and make them to go in a proper direction Mainly we have B.Sc. agriculture, B.Sc. food tech, B.Sc. AGRI business, M.Sc. agriculture with specialization in agronomy, plant breeding, soil Science, economics etc. The faculty in the IIHR department was highly qualified. They all hold doctorates in their respective fields. Not only are that most of them still actively publishing many research papers, which should be credible enough to tell you their level of involvement with the field.
