The faculty and amenities provided are good. It is the best research institute for agricultural research. It is one of the best campuses with a good environment to study agriculture. Hostel facility is provided to both boys and girls.
Placement Experience
The placement status of our college is near to 100%. There is a placement cell in our university main campus which works regular in helping out the students. Even the students prefer to complete their masters before for placements.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure in the University is feasible, as the candidates selected for admission at IIHR have to sign a bond for an amount of Rs. 50,000.As the fees structure is decided by the head and management of IIHR.
Campus Life
The college has high end world class facilities increase over a 254 acre campus. The college was awarded the Best Institute Award during the year 2011, by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. It has a world class library with all the required journals and books that students require, with laboratory, Gym that all the students can use, large self-service canteen that students can use as a recreation area, computer labs with internet contact, an auditorium where special actions can be held and lastly playgrounds where sports events can be organized. The postgraduate school motivates the students to join in extracurricular activities such as sports, and different benefit activities.
Admission
Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) admission is based on the entrance exam, which is followed by the Interview in the own discipline. The entrance exam is organized and it consists of three parts are Part I consists of the General Agriculture while Part II and Part III differ depending upon your subject preference. The opposition for entrance exam is rather hard itself, as candidates from various disciplines and various parts of the country show for the exam. Weight age is also given to the generally academic performance of the candidate.
Faculty
The faculty in the IIHR department was highly qualified. They all hold doctorates in their own fields. The faculties have wealthy national and international professional experience and a high standard of academic background. The faculty consists of full time core faculty and part-time visiting faculty ensuring a superior faculty student.
