a complete journey

The college gives me full exposure to complete my research papers and let me know better about the outside world. The best faculty and the best enviroment enabled me to work more efficiently. I have successfully completed my one research paper due to the college which craved the doctorate out of me.

The course curriculum is 3 years, relaxing and stress free, we are there to do our research works and are given proper flexibility on that basis. Regular Viva and presentations sessions are taken by our mentor teachers to improve the researches. Regular tests are conducted and we get the monthly review every month. The non credit subjects like Communication Language and BS are taught to improvise on general skills.

Since IIHR is a research institute so we do not have any placements at our college. Everyone does their researches and work in their respective fields. The scope after the Phd is high as it opens the vast opportunities for government sector jobs, various MNCs related to agriculture. We can also teach in reputed colleges in our respective fields.

There are various events including Cultural fests, social fests, Sports day, Public holidays celebrated at the college. All the graduate and post graduate students celebrate the events and participate. Sports day and annual day enables us to connect with all the people from different backgrounds. The college is very diverse and these events make us a team.

The course is 3 years long and has fees taken annually. First year is Rs.8,850 including the security deposits and the next two years are Rs 5,590. The fees is totally feasible considering the exposure given by the university. The flexible curriculum and enviroments gives opportunity to students for better exposure and skill development.

The campus is located at a beautiful and secured location which is full of nature surroundings. The labs, libraries are fully equipped with upto date facilities. The books are available in two form- text books and e-books. The labs have all the chemical and equipment available enabling the students to research better.

The hostel is divided into two building both boys and girls. The infrastructure is nicely constructed with beautiful gardens in between. The hostels are guarded 24*7 by the tight security and each building is allotted with a warden. The mess is disciplined and has strict food timings. The food is healthy and tasty. The washrooms are fully equipped with best of facilities.

The alumni meets are done every year where our ex-seniors come and address us, giving out their experiences and letting us know the exposure got to them while working in different sectors. The lectures are delivered and we are able to communicate with them better. The Alumni is helpful and humble.

I applied for the Phd course in the IIHR. To apply we had to give an entrance exam IARI which is a 3 part exam. Part 1 is related to the agricultural respect and part 2 and 3 in the major subjects. The application form is available online where we register and attach the documents. The college would call for the interview and counselling sessions and the fees is deposited after the final registration in the college.

The faculty at IIHR is noble and scholars. They are all very polite and humble who not only help through our research work but also guide us along new researches if any. The communication between the staff and students is smooth, they all are fluent in english. I have been working on a research paper along with my teacher and learning things out of the searches.
