AIEEE and petroleum engineering was something that had given me a felling of adventurous life and i wanted to do someting different from regular streams.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was a integrated cousre coverd all necessary knowledge which a bachelor student needs about this oil and gas field. It first starts with general engineering knowledge and then it covers basic idea about geology then to petroleum geology. Then after 2nd year we required to choose between upstream and downstream.
Internships Opportunities
Institute has a mandatory six week internship program after 3rd year in its course curriculum, and this cours have credits also. Institute arranges internship and training in well know companies. Institute also provides latter of recommendation to the students those who are willing to do training in their choise of companies. Stipend is rare.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities are ok. Last year most of the eligible students of petroleum downstream were placed. This year till now 8 students out of 52 from petroleum downstream are placed and other companies are yet to visit the campus.Six students got job in Infosys at 3.7 lacks per annum package.Two students got job in reliance at 5.5 lacks per annum.
College Events
College has many clubs, they organise different events. Main events of college areTechnical fest named as tesureact it consists of many competition like roobo fight, model making etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarship offered by college. Details are available on web page. Students can take loans from bank.
Alumni/Alumna
Despite that college was stabilised in 2007 and first batch was passout in 2011. It has a week alumni base college didn't had a sound contact with its alumni.
Faculty
Faculty here are ok. All are well qualified. Some are really very good. Most of the faculty have a vast teaching experience. Institute have some of the best geologist of india. But Institute fails to deliver the excellence in some very important fields.
