This college is well advanced and can reach the skies. It has many collaborations with international universities such as University of Edinburgh, University of Western Australia ,University of Bristol and University of Calgary has already been utilized for academic research and extension programmes of KVASU.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is divided into 4 semesters and at the end of each exams are held. The course comprises of various subjects ranging from pathology,Microbiology,gynaecology,anatomy and so on. The animals are studied from all perspectives and researched upon too.
Placement Experience
This college has its own entrepreneurship wing in which student entrepreneurs and startups are encouraged. Th faculty provides them with baic knowledge of cost estimates, how to write a project proposal and design. The students are awaded with 4% grace marks and 40% attendance relaxation if this is undertaken.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees semester wise are as follows: 1st semester: 24,400/- 2nd semester: 12,100/- The fees vary according to the subjects chosen and the activities planned by the institution.
Fees and Financial Aid
Meritorious students are given scholarships, fellowships and assistantships. 10 students from the undergraduate programs are given scholarships. Merit cum Means scholarship is distributed to 12 financially backward non-SC/ST students of each batch of under graduate programme of B.V.Sc.&A.H .and B.Tech. of all colleges under KVASU. Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research fellowship (SRF) is awarded to the students admitted for postgraduate and Ph.D. students respectively.
Campus Life
These are encouraged here. Many skill based workshops like extension action policy, EAP - NABARD workshops, International education fest and poultry skills are some of the activities that go on in the college.
Admission
Veterinary science studies is a demanding course and that's why I chose it. For a masters course a bachelor's degree in the same field is mandatory. Minimum OGPA is 6.0/10 or 50%, for ST/ST it is 5.5/10. The application form is available on the college website. After filling it the entrance test is conducted and the the students who clear it are enrolled for the course.
Faculty
The faculties here have knowledge and expertise in the field. They are experienced in terms of research for which they have received awards as well. They have indulged themselves in teaching and are there to solve problems always.
