The freedom we were given. No one would etheet try to command you or rule you.
The library was very vast with a lot of books.
The college fest is one of the best in our city.

Some teachers are not very friendly on certain things.
There is no good football ground for students.
The college is near the main road so it’s very busy.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of my rank. It was the best one available for my rank. It has a very good placement. The average salary is 35k per annum. You also have good opportunities for higher studies in universities.

Internships are available in our college based on performance. Government internships are provided to the best students. Titanium, advent, isro, and Alert are some of the companies that provide internships.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placements from the third semester onwards. Toward the end of the third semester, companies start to approach you based on your cgpa and SGPA. If you have good marks stipend is provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is divided into three. Firstly for reserved students, it is free. Then you have the government seat which is 55000 per year. Then you have the management seat which is 75000 per year.

Campus Life

We have one of the best fests in Trivandrum. It is called cult away. Famous artists from around the world perform here for 3 nights. Every classroom is digital. Books are provided in the library. Every sport is supported with sports day annually.

Admission

Eligibility was only 12th. After that, we have to attend the Kerala entrance exam called team. Only if you have a decent rank in that entrance exam will you get admission. It is mostly easy to crack this exam.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
