This college has the best of everything whether it is faculty or fee structure or practical exposure.No other college comes to your mind when you think about doing dramatics or theatre. The competition is tough but the results are fruitful.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course requires a lot of efforts. It is designed in such a way that you will have to work really hard .The course gives you more practical exposure than theory. You will be assigned different projects and assignments to understand everything better. The exam structure is also good .You are assessed on the basis of your assignments ,projects,participation and marks obtained in the end term examination
Placement Experience
NSD does not provide any kind of placement or job opportunities.You can get yourself the internship or job if you need.But the college gives you so much exposure that you don't need any kind of internship to get the experience of working in an industry.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since NSD is a government institute the fees is very feasible.The admission fee and tuition fee is Rs 150 each. If you look at the facilities that they provide then compared to that the fees is economical and affordable. You don't have to spend extra money on anything the college provides you with everything that is required.
Campus Life
A lot of renowned personalities come to the college for workshops an seminar. The equipments at the labs are upto date.You don't have to buy anything as all the necessary gadgets are available so that saves you from spending a lot of money. The boys and girls are equally appreciated and encouraged to participate in the extracurricular activities.
Admission
The number of seats are very less so the competition for even a single seat is quite high.To get admission in the course first you have to fill up an application form which is available on the website. There are two rounds that you have to qualify to get admission in NSD.But before that you need to make sure that you should be graduated in any of the stream to be eligible for applying.Now,in the first round you are given any oone of the centre from New Delhi,Mumbai, kolkata,Bengaluru where you have to give an audition as a practical test.If you qualify the first round then you are called to attend a workshop for four to five days where you are judged on your performance and participation in the workshop and final selection is done on this basis only.
Faculty
The faculty members are known personalities and Padmashree awardee.You are given knowledge from the best people in the industry . They will tell you about experiences which might have never heard of.They have years and years of experience in working in the industry so their is no one better than them who could teach you dramatics.
