This is college is one of the best colleges in Delhi. It has a great team of faculty members. It provides exposure in the field of art which is informative and full of practical knowledge. It has collaborated with other national institutions which makes us interact on the national level.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college offers MA in three subjects at PG level whereas PhD at doctorate level. Course curriculum is designed same for all the MA disciplines. It has 4 semesters in total wherein exams are conducted at the end of every semester. We are also required to submit one dissertation.
Placement Experience
There are various job opportunities available for the MA in history of art after completing the course. We get to work in museums or even as an educator. Internship opportunities is provided by the institution to give practical experience about the working of the museum. Stipend of 6,000 INR per month is also paid.
College Events
College celebrates various cultural events as determined by the ministry of culture. It celebrates founders day and also yoga day celebration is done every year. It also conducts programs like hindi pakhvada for which prize money is rewarded.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. The first year fee is 12,500 INR and the second year fee is 10,000. So it adds up to 22,500 INR which is quite affordable. It also has a reservation system where 22.5% are reserved for SC/ST, 27% seats for OBC and 3% seats for differently abled candidates.
Campus Life
This institution has sports complex for conducting indoor/outdoor sports events. It also has LCD projectors, library and information centre, wifi facility etc. There is an automated digital library. It also conducts various workshops such as on miniature paintings etc.
Alumni/Alumna
It has a wide alumni network. I was impressed by the helpful nature of the seniors. They are cooperative and supportive at every step. We can easily approach them for any work and they will be ready to help.
Admission
The admission procedure followed is just like any other university. I downloaded the application from the official website and then submitted it. Later I had to attempt an entrance exam of one hour. After qualifying the exam I attended an interview session with the joint committee. Finally I was offered the seat.
Faculty
All the faculty members have great expertise in their subjects. They are highly qualified and they make sure to plan a doubt session time to time. They provide guidance for the completion of dissertation. They genuinely believe in enhancing the knowledge of the students.
