Remarks

I had great experience at khallikote University whether it was about daily college days, summer internships, annual picnics, or extracurricular activities. It was a great journey of 2 years and helped me to inspire a lot in life.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is great. Equal focus has been put on both practical and theoretical subjects. The exams are well organized and conducted in a very efficient manner. The study materials provided by the college is also really good and provides complete educational information.

Placement Experience

The placement in my college were quite good. Most of the students were placed and placement selection was done on on interview basis and the dependent on student's academic scores as well. Companies like tata motors, bisleri, P&G etc visited our college for offering placement opportunities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure in my college is quite affordable.Relaxation has been provided to students of reserved category and with weak economical backgrounds. The course I opted costed around 67400 rupees in total for two years.

Campus Life

The extracurricular activities in my college were very good. The college organized several inter college competitions . Many societies like sports, debating , singing, dancing ,etc were formed. The college focused equally on skill development of students as well as in imparting educational knowledge.

Admission

I had completed my bachelor's degree, I wanted to pursue post graduation and hence I applied in khallikote university for admission and appeared for Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET).Luckily I got selected and after all th procedures were done, I finally got admission.

Faculty

The faculty of my college was really good and all the teachers were really supportive especially the English department. All the teachers were well qualified and specialized in their subjects. They taught everything with utmost importance and helped the students a lot in dealing with their problems and questions regarding their subjects.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

Genuine reviews helps for a better change

The admission is done through SAMS portal. You have to create an account in SAMS and then apply for +3 admission. You have to select atleast 5 colleges according to your priority list. There are different phases of admission, so if you get admission in the 2nd college you have choosen you can get, there's chance of getting choosen in the first college in next phases. The application fees is to be submitted online through the SAMS portal and have to pay in offline mode next year onwards. Application dates will be displayed in the SAMS webpage. Cut off is usually changed every year, for me it's 67. The exam takes places every 5-6 months and the timing for me is 2-5 all the time, but the result gets displayed after a year. Exam difficulty level is quiet medium. The admission takes much time and the college gets crowded because of admission of large number of students on a single day, so college should add more dates for admission....Read More
