Course Curriculum Overview

The course has lot of practical experiments and field visits. also many seminars are organised by the industry experts.The course curriculum is also manageable. It is one of the best designed course for the degree. The curriculum is quite advanced.

Placement Experience

Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys are the major companies that visit the campus for recruitment. The placement was quite good. 80% of students are getting a good package.There is a placement cell in the college premises.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for this PG course is around 1.27 Lakhs. Is is moderate when take into accounts all the universities offering this course. As there are many less universities offering this course. The fees does not include mess and hostel.

Campus Life

Many events and fests are conducted in our college. The campus crowd is quite good.There are regular events. Annual fest is a must for the college. CCA is predominant.Students arrange all the programmes here.

Hostel Facilities

Labs, library, Wi-Fi and good classrooms are there. Hostels are also available with good food. Books are also available.You can also hire a private hostel. Many private hostels are available.hostels with good food at reasonable price, at the centre of the city, with in 1km from railway station, bus stand is also near by. Wi-Fi facility is available.

Admission

To get admission in here is tough because the are filled on the basis of entrance exams. CUCET has reserved 12 seats and other 12 are reserved by SAMS Odisha. OJEE/CAT/XAT/MAT are only considered in case of empty seats.

Never all the faculty members can be awesome, but some are very good and clear everything in detail.The education is good, and the teaching techniques are good. The teaching staff members are good.They provide a good quality of education. They are positive towards the students.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

Remarks:

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

Genuine reviews helps for a better change

The admission is done through SAMS portal. You have to create an account in SAMS and then apply for +3 admission. You have to select atleast 5 colleges according to your priority list. There are different phases of admission, so if you get admission in the 2nd college you have choosen you can get, there's chance of getting choosen in the first college in next phases. The application fees is to be submitted online through the SAMS portal and have to pay in offline mode next year onwards. Application dates will be displayed in the SAMS webpage. Cut off is usually changed every year, for me it's 67. The exam takes places every 5-6 months and the timing for me is 2-5 all the time, but the result gets displayed after a year. Exam difficulty level is quiet medium. The admission takes much time and the college gets crowded because of admission of large number of students on a single day, so college should add more dates for admission....Read More
