Whenever I pass through my college it gives me a great sense of pride that I was a part of this great place. My college is the best.
Entrance Preview
I had written an internal entrance and the admission was based on the pre university marks. Since I had done pre university in Christ and had experienced evrything about this place I was very particular about doing my undergraduation also in this place.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had three majors, Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics. Since it was an autonomous college that time they had their own curriculum which covered all the major topics required.
Internships Opportunities
Lot of companies(over 10) had come just to offer internship. Stipend was varying based on the company which varied between 15K to 30K per month. But I had attended an internship just to complete my final semester project work so they did not pay me anything.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportinities are the best thing about Christ. Over 100 companies come every year. Best companies of Bangalore come for placements and almost all of my classmates were placed by the end of the course. But we had an option of accepting offer of only one company so that everybody gets an equal chance. I had got placed in Ernst & Young as an Analyst.
College Events
College not only concentrated on Cirriculum but gave equal importance to events and fests. We had various intercollege and intracollege competitions and a college fest every year. Apart from this we use to celebrate an annual ethnic fest called Bhasha Utsav where all the different cultures and nativities was showcased. Christmas season and Christmas was one of the most celebrated times in the campus with the whole campus decorated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee sturcture was slighter on the higher side. But whatever you spend it was worth it. At the end of the day it is important that how much you take from that place. But the nice thing about Christ is if you are not able to afford the fee the management use to give concession and help the student(only under valid cases)
Fees and Financial Aid
I have never heard of any loan facility as such but the management use to give some fee concession to students who excelled in thier studies.
Campus Life
Christ is such a place where one can find students from different cultural backgrounds. Student from abroad also use to study. And everybody were treated equally irrespective of their background and everybody had equal chance of participating in sports, Extracirriculars based on their interest.
Hostel Facilities
I never stayed in the college hostel but have heard from my friends that hostel fees was expensive but offered good facilities with a bit of luxury. Cantten food was good, decent. We had different places like Kiosk, canteen, cafeteria with different kinds and types of food. Food was affordable and quality was good and tasty. we use to enjoy Egg puff in the kiosk.
Alumni/Alumna
All Alumni of Christ will have no words to express their gratitude towards their college. As an alumni all that I can say is Christ is the Best. The kind of recognition and respect it has in the corporate makes me feel pround that I was a part of this wonderful and prestigious experience.
Exam Structure
We use to have internal tests very often which was quite hectic but apart from this it was the normal exam structure like one mid semester exam and a semester exam at the end of the semester.
Faculty
Faculty was best with highly qualified professors who were not only good at teaching but very friendly and caring. They were helpful in all aspects which helped our overall growth and way to success
