Likes
- Each and topics of every subject were explained were very nicely.
- During practical classes every equipment are provided to each student respectively.
- Faculty of pharmacology, biochemistry and microbiology are really helpful.
Dislikes
- There is no teaching faculty is appointed for the Department of perfusion technology.
- Too many students are taken in for admission due to which we don't get enough exposure during hospital postings in CTVS operation Theatre.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college curriculum for all BSc courses is designed very nicely. In the first 3 semester we studied some important subjects like biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, anatomy, pathology and pharmacology to which our respective courses were well connected.
Internships Opportunities
Generally, the college provide Internship of 6 month after the completion of 3 year BSc course right after 6 th semester. Stipend of 4000/month was promised by the management but had never been provided. The college does not provide you with any placement offer.
Fees and Financial Aid
Admission registration fee is Rs.1500 for BSc and Msc courses. 1st year annual fee was Rs.71,000 then 2nd and 3rd year annual fee was Rs 72,500. Exam registration fee is Rs.600 per subject. At the last 6th semester examination registration additional Rs.3,500 is charged for convocation.
Campus Life
Infrastructure wise this college has alot to offer. The college library is huge having all books related to the healthcare studies in addition to that the college also a digital library which is really helpful. The college has been working closely with the NSS programme units where students actively participates as an volunteer in camps and programmes organised by NSS.
Hostel Facilities
I didn't opted to live in hostel instead i rented an apartment just behind the college in Azam nagar, there is a back gate from behind the Dr. Prabhakar kore hospital which you can use and allowed to move in and out with your id card. 1 BHK independent Apartment costs you around 8 to 13k. But you can try in areas little farther from the college with cheaper prices.
Admission
I applied for my graduation course really late because of late result announcement dur COVID-19. But fortunately, KLE university admission form was still open. Due to more seats availability as compared to other colleges and my merits i got into it quite easily.
Faculty
The Principal of Allied health sciences Dr. Urmila Kagal is very kind and helpful in every aspects. The faculty members of all Department do their work really nicely. The only problems i faced were after my 3rd semester in my own Department of Perfusion technology where no teaching faculty is hired, senior perfusionist is forced to take care of us without any additional payment for teaching.
