GATE exam passed out at 90 percentile. I wanted to study in Karnataka and this was the best college for Masters in Computers.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had done B.E in computer science hence few of the subjects were repetitions .But for all the subjects we had projects which provided better understanding of the fundamentals.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the top companies visited the campus and our batch had 100% placement as any other year. I have got selected in Novell and did internship there. Stipend offered was INR 5000 per month along with other benefits like free food & transport.
Placement Experience
Our batch had 17 students and had 100% placement in top 10 companies visited the campus. There were more than 100 companies visited the campus. Top companies visited were Novell, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, HP, Siemens, Honeywell, Texas Instruments etc, the package offered was 3.35 lacs per annum average.
College Events
We had college day celebrated annually for which all the neighboring colleges participate. There were technical events held by different course students in the campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
We have paid INR 5,000 per semester as the tution fee and it is very feasible for any student. We were getting INR 2,500 per month GATE scholarships and it was more than sufficient to pay the fees and staying expenses during those times.
Fees and Financial Aid
I had GATE scholarship paying INR 2,500 every month. No other loans were required for me and my scholarship was sufficient to cover my expenses.
Campus Life
College used to encourage extra curricular activities like taking up academic projects, conducting technical events, writing articles in the college editorials. Being the only REC in Karnataka, the college gets good grants from the government and the admission process is as per government policies. There are reservations and general quota.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumini network is strong and have got various groups in the prominent social sites. Did not had much chance to interact with the seniors. There were seniors helping junior students in the lab along with the faculties.
Exam Structure
It was very chilled out because for M.Tech students every day afternoon will be free and can do the labs and project work. Also we had to take labs for the under graduate students twice a week.
Faculty
Faculties have very good understanding of the latest technologies and are always looking to include that during teaching. Most if the faculties have doctoral degrees and have international exposure, this is very valuable for mentoring students.
