The best part of NITK is its beach. The only college in India is have its private beach.
Entrance Preview
I wrote AIEEE in 2006. My all India Rank was 2010. I always wanted to join NITK as I visited Mangalore few times. The city is small,clean organised and full of students of other institutes.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship is ISI Kolkata. NITK has a very good relation with ISI Kolkata. In 2008 I was in ISI Kolkata. That time stipend was 5K per month.
Placement Experience
There is an excellent opportunity of placement and jobs. All leading companies in India come there to recruit. I can remember more than 100 software companies during our placement time. Other than that core engineering companies also come but they not less in number compared to software companies.
College Events
There are two cultural events Incident,CrescendoTech fest is Engineer. Other than these events there are many clubs in the campus who organize various events throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was feasible. I heard these days Fee becomes very high. Although students can apply for different type of scholarships. There are bank and getting a student loan is very easy in the campus.

Campus Life
Campus life is excellent. I can assure students spent their best four years of life. There students for every corner of the country and from abroad also.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are not always good. Three mega blocks are good place to stay but students face lot of water problem. Mess food is not good that's why hotels near by the campus earns a lot.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a very strong alumni network present in NITK. Students can get in touch with them through different ways. They are always ready to help. There are many successful alumni who have started their own companies recruit from the campus.
Exam Structure
Exam and Labs were initially very hectic but once we accustomed with that and cope up with the pace of learning teaching schedule then it was a cake walk.
Faculty
Now I heard new faculties joined. Who are having very good knowledge in their respective areas of interest. Among present faculties I can particularly remember one name - AVS sir. He is an expert in database and distributed system. If someone wants to score good marks in his subject he,she needs to attend most of his classes.
