Maharana pratap university offers M.sc in horticulture with the specialization in three different fields like vegetable science, fruit science and floricultural/ landscape architecture.It is a two year program and is updated as per the new trends of the market. In the first year we have learned about the various allied sectors for food , ecological security , how to improve the livelihood, etc.

The placements are very good , the top notch horticulture companies like Myron L company, Om farms and nursery , Ananya seeds, Spectrum industries visited our college this year . The top package was around 12 lpa and the average starting at around 4 lpa .

The course fees is around 80000 per year . It is very feasible from my view point as the kind of knowledge that we are gaining and the infrastructure provided is just commendable. The plant microbiology and the seeds techniques which are provided to us are very excellent.

Yes there are many scholarship programs that are offered to new entrants on their merit basis. This boosts up the students and they take keen part in the process . There are various loan facility available at the disposal of the students like education loan etc.

Various training programs like Green house management for high quality horticulture crops are organised to help students in gaining more knowledge . In international conferences , Seminar on crops, workshops are also organised by the student member group . The labs are very well maintained and clean .

The seniors are really very helpful , till now they have shared their various experiences with us in their respective fields. The seniors also help us in our society programmes , how all the things should be managed if we are deviating from our course of action. They are always provide us with valuable details of the conferences held , the moot meetings and how we should have a different outlook for the future.

I like many other students have given the entrance test which is conducted by the Chaudhary charan singh haryana agricultural university in hissar. As it was recently established in 2016 it has a campus size of around 97 acre. Students need to be B.sc graduate in the relevant stream from any recognized university. The forms for the admission process are available both online and offline and the duration of the course is around two years.

Faculty has really good knowledge about the plants, how to improve the quality of fruits , the methods to be adopted . Our teachers have taken various classes on the degrading economic prosperity of the farming community . This has helped us to know where is the farming sector going at and at what profit margin. I have been helped by all the teachers and they have always helped me in clearing my doubts.
