It's Awesome

IIT JAM, my all India JAM rank was 34 in general category. One of my senior from my school was there and he told me that IITB is the best to learn mathematics. So many very good mathematicians are there. Algebra, Analysis, Number Theory, PDE, ODE are very rich there because of those faculties.

In four Semester, there was 20 core courses, two of them are projects stage I and II. In 3rd and 4th semester we can choose 4 electives, 2 in each semester. Near about 6-7 choices are there for each electives. I have chosen Basic Number Theory, Advanced Probability Theorem, Mathematical Methods and Differential Geometry.

American Express. But I didn't go there, that may be not a good option for research prospective. 3 month internship was there, the provided 25000/- per month for that to each fellow getting a chance to do internship there.

There is also a MNM fellowship for those whose guardian's annual income is bellow 5lakh and also 50 percent discount in semester fees for those students to. So I think fee structure- feasible. And 20 percent students got NBHM MSc fellowship, they don't even any need from parents too. So overall it's okay.

Attached SBI and Canara Banks offered loan for each and every students those who need it. I availed it from SBI.

It's awesome. There is a big ground separated by 3 parts where you can play cricket , football and hockey simultaneously. Also there is so many playing courts for volleyball, basket ball, tennis, badminton etc. Each hostels have 2-3 private grounds where you can play outdoor games.

They are all connected via mails. We have a alumni sections where each alumnus were registered. Also in our department we can choose one of us who will connect them all for future needs.

In each paper there was several quizzes of 10 marks and one mid-sem exam and another end-sem exam. We are not worried about exams but the syllabus is quite vast for those short period of time. A semester is completed in 4 months and there was only 3 months for lectures or study times. That creates too much pressure on us.

They are really excellent. But obviously I must say there was one or two quite weak teachers. They should not be there. Overall excellent. The faculties likes of B.V. Limey, S.R. Ghorpade, G.K. Srinivasan, Amiya K. Pani, Ravi Kulkarni are awesome. They provided too many exposers towards the research.
