My dynamic experience with the world of computer and softwares

According to me, the course curriculum is quite interesting and compels to learn extensively on the concept. The exam structure is not very complicated. We have a pattern of 25 marks internals, 40 marks practicals and 100 marks project.

Our college provides a compulsory training of employability skills to the final year students. Our department is quite good in performing and is always ahead in placements record. Big companies such as HCL, Sutherland,Technosoft, VOIZ, etc. Yes, my college provides us opportunities to attend internships, various other college's workshops, takes us to industrial visits and engage us in organisational skills by conducting regular department quizzes and workshops.

There are various events celebrated in our college which cannot be listed as such. The major celebrations are Pongal, Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Annual Day, various department workshops & international conferences, and inter-college sports meet.

The fee structure for post graduate is little expensive, even after selection through merit list and personal interview. They charge 85,000 rupees per year with added on material and other supply costs.

There are many good scholarships offered by the University of Madras for our college to students who are eligible with top ranks and overall subject scorers. I didn't avail any scholarship and am continuing my studies with regular tuition fees.

We have various clubs to join such nature club. sports club, ROTARACT club, yoga club and its compulsory to join either one to enhance our skill and hidden talents. Our college also provides vocational training to different students who opt for them. The labs are marvelous. They are equipped highly updated systems and softwares for students to work.

There are spacious hostels for girls in the campus, but not for boys. I didn't opt for hostel facilities, therefore I am not aware of the rentals, infrastructure and other facilities present over there.

The alumni network group is highly interactive with juniors and always help us to cope up with difficult task. They share their life experience, which sometimes is quite inspiring and motivate us to learn many new things to develop our career.

I got my admission in the college based on my marks obtained in my bachelor's along with a personal interview. I submitted my details, in their online admission portal, where they sent out a letter on my selection. They fixed a date for interview on campus, which I cleared ultimately to secure my seat.

Our department faculties are very easy going and update us with the latest trends in the information world. The teaching techniques of my professors are so adjustable, that anyone new to the field can even understand the subject with ease. We can inquire any doubts at any time with them.
