Remarks
Kannur university is a state government formed university established in 1996, it focuses on imparting education to all students in all districts of Kerala who have limited resources and it offers so many UG and PG courses and even research degrees. The faculty base too is very helpful and highly qualified. They follow a very standardised syllabus which benefits the students getting a degree there.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good they have divided into three parts of three-year course with only examination in end of the academic year. We have practical also for the course. They are also conducted in weekend and are good.
Placement Experience
Tourism and travel industry is seeing the highest boom of its time at the moment. Anyone who is into hospitality and tourism can easily find a job in India or even overseas into management, event organising, back end etc the opportunities are endless. There are huge groups like Taj who are always looking to recruit qualified individuals to manage and run their branches all over the country.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee for the course is around 5000-6000 per year, we have to pay for tuition fee as well as for practical classes. Examination fee are to paid extra when we apply for examination. They are feasible to most of the students.
Campus Life
There are no extra-curricular activities held for the distance education students. They are no cultural, sports and other activities for the students. Gender ratio is almost same. There are no workshops or seminars held for the students of the institute
Admission
Admission to this Institute is given by the university on the spot, we will have to take application form and submit that and have to submit all details, after getting them verified we are given admission. There is no interview or entrance exam for this
Faculty
The entire faculty base is highly educated and all are NET qualified, some of them are PhD holders as well. The faculty is accessible for any doubt clearing sessions and the material taught by them is very understandable. Overall accommodative culture is followed by the faculties.
