Entrance Preview
I took all the entrance exams, i didnt want to take any chances. I scoredgood enough in mains (216/360) that is around99.5 percentile. Although i couldnt fare good enough in advance. So i opted for a nit rather than any local mumbai college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course in vnit is a bit different than the top3 south nits. Our core departmental subjects come from 2nd year .It follows the iit bombay rule. i
Internships Opportunities
Companies come to my college for internship offers. We have a good on campus placement as well as inetrnship offers, computer science students get thehighest amount of stipend and packages. This year one student got a internship stipend of 80k. On an average 15-20k is offered to a 3rd year student.
Placement Experience
Our college has been the best of the nits in terms of placements. We have a very good percentage of placements.During the academic year 2014-15, more than 100 companies visited the campus. These included all the major companies like Coal India, Reliance Group, Jindal group, DRDO, L & T Group, Bajaj Auto Limited, Oracle, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, ZS Associates, Snapdeal, and many more.
College Events
Lots of events are celebrated in our college, that is the best part of our college. One will surely not regret in participating in these colleges. From AXIS(technical festival ) to AROHI (cultural festival). These are said to be central indias largest festivals.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is not expensive although it is high. Recently my year students revolted against the fee structure that resulted in division of payment semester wise and not year wise. that was fruitfull. Overallits 53400 per year.
Campus Life
Campus is the best i will ever experience in my life. Living in hostel gives us time to participate in extracurriculr activities to the fullest. There are several clubs wecan be a part of like robotics, dance, singing, sports etc.
Alumni/Alumna
Our alumni network is very good, as far as i know. We have an alumni office were we can ask any queries regarding academics or any problems during internships and placements. Seniors also help us in many terms, giving advice on which books to refer and time management.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is more like it is in any other college. We have 2 sessional examnations of 15 marks each the we have the final end semester examinations. We dont have mid sems. If one failsin any subject there is a option of giving re test which is free of cost.
