Remarks

Its An amazing institute affilated to BPUT, Rourkela. And the campus is really good having various facilites available. All the teachers are well qualified and teach with great in depth knowledge theoretically and practically both. The environment is also very positive and amiable.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is of 4 years well structured and focused with research about the hotel management techniques & the course is set in a way so as to emerge professionals in hotel or hospitality management by providing practical exposure to students.

Placement Experience

After completing of hotel management we have got enormous opportunities open in front of us. And the institute has good placement cell because of which we get great opportunities for training and jobs

Fee Structure And Facilities

I am persuing Bachelor of hotel management and we are been taught more practically here then theoretically as its more of a practical course and all the facilities are available. Still the fees is very feasible if we compare it with the quality of course. The course is of total four year and the fees is Rs.1.9 Lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. The college do provide the maritious and deserving students with scholarships opportunities and students can also apply for loan facilities from here. The college helps with providing students loans from banks.

Campus Life

We are always encouraged to participate in various extracurricular activities and events that take place within the college. Such as various sports tournaments like cricket, volleyball etc and social activities are conducted by the senior students and the NCC group of this college

Admission

I have always wanted to be in hotel management as I was always been very much interested in it. So After completing of my intermediate education I filled an online application form for admission (application mode online/offline are available) got selected on the basis of my merit in 10+2 (50% aggregate marks is the eligibility criteria for admission) from a recognised board.

Faculty

We have a great well qualified and experienced faculty and all of them teach us with great enthusiasm. We are been encouraged to work efficiently on time and speed as its must if we are working professionally in hospitality.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

Remarks:

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.
