Remarks

Management was bit poor and slow as compared to other NITs. The college rank dropped significantly in past few years.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for both IIT and AIEEE and got 19000 AIR in AIEEE i was interested in instrumentation engg so I opted for NIT Jalandhar where this course was available.

Course Curriculum Overview

I opted for engineering in Instrumentation and control technology that was a mix of process control, electronics, microprocessor, Power technology and industrial measurement.

Internships Opportunities

So there was no sponsored internship from college as such. We have to approach to the companies for the training so no chance of stipend very few companies( 2 or 3) visits campus for insternship and do offer stipend.

Placement Experience

There was a good mix companies which visited in my final year, but the numbers were low the package varied from 3 lac to 11 lac for instrumentation but i guess avg CTC was around 4.5 lac only.

College Events

We have techniti as our technical fest and utkansh as our cultural fest that happen every year in alternate semester. The participation varied from local colleges to near by NITs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees in government institution is quite affordable and also the hostels were very cheap total fees was hardly 60,000 for full year including tution, hostel, etc charges.

No scholarship at all and i have heard for loan facility available in college.You can scholarship from CBSE after 12th.

Campus Life

We had many societies and clubs for extra curricular activities rest is dependent on personal interest how they want to use these facilities i was a part of robotics club for 3 years.

Mess food was ok type average rental was 2000 for a month new hostel room were very good and had good facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

We have group on facebook for interaction also college organizes alumni meet after 2 years i guess to reconnect the old students/pass-outs. We use to have good interaction with seniors.

Exam Structure

We use to have 2 unit test that is 6 exams in 3 days morning evening shifts and then end semester exams 6 exams in 6 days no holidays.

Faculty

The institute was known for this branch because of the faculty and placement. The faculty was quite good and but few lacked experience and knowledge.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
