I cleared AIEEE in year 2012 and got a good rank of 24047 and was selected for this government institution. I am currently pursuing my B-tech in Civil engineering from this college. I was lucky to get the Civil branch here as I have always dreamt of becoming a civil engineer as I am good at designing and modelling things.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is sufficiently good if a student wants to do some sort of research. The institute provides the facilities of using machinery and laboratory with proper guidance of well qualified teacher. The curriculum also cover the most part of the real life problem and situation that come over in civil engineering problem so its over all a good exposure to what is there exactly in the field.
Internships Opportunities
Yes the college provides Internship but for few departments like civil, mechanical and computer science. but they dont provide stipend. I did my internship from the collgee only in the construction section under CPWD. It was a good experience and I got to know too many new things about the real life problems in construction. The engineers on site were really helpful.
Placement Experience
Placement is good if we compare other college with ours. The opportunities is very bright. A lot of companies, for all the departments come for recruitment and they offer pretty decent salaries. The big companes like amazon, flipkart, musigma, L and T, TCS, Infosys, IBM, Tata motors, Practo etc. in the first half of the final yr. half of the students are placed with one or two jobs with them. The average package varies from 4.5 lacs pa to 5 lacs pa.
College Events
Its my proud privilege to say that our college has 3 mega events, one is technical fest- techniti, second is cultural fest-utkansh and the o ther one is the event of foundation day of this college called Bharat Dhawani. These fests are one of the biggest in the north india and the crowd is simply awesome. They are the best days of the college when you have all the things in this universe to do fun with. The participation is very huge, students from far away colleges too come here to show their potential. We have aabout 123 events in technical and more than 80 events in cultural festival.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being a government collge, we are pretty on the affordable side in matter of fees taken. Its about 30000 for a semester excluding hostel and mess. Hostel is almost free as it is about 700 for 6 months and mess charge is 15000 for 6 months with extras to added on the part.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a lots of scholarships for the ST and SC students as the college mainly focuses on their upliftment. There are some other scholorships for the other students also but I dont have the exact knowledge about them.
Alumni/Alumna
They are very helpful as we are in constant touch with them. The social media has made the life simpler/ We have an society also called SAARC, which primarily focuses on alumni students. we organise parties for them, function, guest lectures and a lot. They are very motivating and care taker.
Exam Structure
No not at all. Infact the schedules are very friendly giving us a lot of time to chill. There are 2 minors and 1 major exams in a semester. The minor one consist of 20 marks each and major one consists of 50 and 10 marks are for teacher assessment. 3 day each for minor and 6 days for major Thats it.
Faculty
Being a college of national importance, the teachers here are comparatively qualified and helping than that of other colleges as they mainly focus on shaping a students life rather than putting a loads of pressure on them. Teachers are very friendly and cooperative and helping too. You will feel free to clear your doubts anytime as they are ready to guide you anytime.
