I cleared AIEEE in my first attempt and got AIR 9700. I chose electronics because it was my field of interest since childhood.
Course Curriculum Overview
Good. Got to learnt practicality of electronics specially Microcontrollers.I learnt many basics of digital electronics. While walking through many semesters, there were times when we had to really push through the courses - they seemed boring and hence unending. Electromagnetic engineering was one such subject but gradually black clouds disappeared.
Internships Opportunities
It was not really great. In 2012 era I don't remember any company coming to our campus and offering stipend for internship. We had to look out and pay for it.
Placement Experience
I am not sure whether companies packages can be shared in such open forum. But Freescale, Cadence, eValue serve, Ericssion, TCS, Wipro, IOCL were some of the companies which offered their openings to Electronics guys.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, My college do offer some load facilities which my friends availed. I neither availed any such loans and neither got any scholarship( from college).
Campus Life
College being Punjab region had good facility for sports - a wide open ground with running tracks well maintained around it. Workshops as afore described were knowledge imparting and I was not much into parties so my comment on hostel parties won't weigh much.
Hostel Facilities
Mess was Messy and Hostel was Hostile. Can be improved and I have heard that they are improving by opening Mega hostels in campus.
Alumni/Alumna
Its again good. We have a Facebook group where we post/see relevant information.Beside this we also have a Gmail google group to share pass ons. Senior Alumini are inivited once a year in college campus to share their experiences to juniors.
Exam Structure
It was balanced, I would say. We had enought time to chill out as well as to improve technically.
Faculty
Some good - some not upto the mark. And I am sure that this is the case with any other college. We cannot be expecting eutopian faculty sitting in Indian land :)
