Course Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum was based off University of Calicut, where the course lasted for 4 semesters and two years. The curriculum was quite up to date and we learned about Indian policies, human behaviours, analysis of the society. We also had field studies which would be conducted any time during the year. We also had exams and dissertation that we needed to get good marks in.
Placement Experience
We had a very competent placement cell that made sure we are aware about the job opportunities that are open to us. They had many recruiters like banks, Infosys, KMPG etc. They also had job fairs that gave us the opportunity to see what each industry was like.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Our course fees were very feasible. The course fees were also determined by the University of Calicut. We had to pay 7,500 rupees each semester and the total was 30,000 rupees. We also had to pay additional fees like the admission fees and cautionary deposits. By even with the total it was quite a budgeted course.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college offers a wide variety of scholarship facilities. Some of the scholarships are offered by the Government of Kerala. Other scholarships are offered by the college to deserving students in honour of past professors and the college.
Campus Life
I was part of the NSS in our college, we organised many functions, blood donation drives, campus cleaning and other activities which the students could participate in. There were many other clubs for the students to join in and develop their skills professionally or socially. Our college also had NCC and other seminars as well as fairs and workshops.
Admission
My course admission was pretty simple. They wanted my certificates from high school and graduation. They looked it over and called me up to finish the admission process. My college was affliated to the University of Calicut back then so they followed their procedures.
Faculty
Our faculty was one of the best. Most of them were PhD scholars and were very well-aware about their fields. They made sure we felt comfortable and that we understood. They were also available to us via email, in-person and phone.
