A good college to study in

Overall the college is good with good experienced teaching faculty in the college. The college provides opportunity to the students to learn and grow. The college has not undergone transformation since a long time and currently the focus is only on the construction in the college and everywhere construction work is going on in the college. Currently the priority is this infrastructural development and thus less events occour in the college. Not a great college but a good one to study in

I took JEE mains for entrance to this college. I scored a score of 223 in jee mains and percentage of 91.4 in CBSE. Overall rank was 11970 in the exam. NIT jaipur is ranked 5 th in all nits and thus I decided to join this college. College is in the capital city of Rajasthan. I am currently in civil engineering and this is a decent branch for engineering and thus opted this branch

The course curriculum is well planned and has been designed efficiently in order to ensure overall development of the students. 1st year has same course for all the students. From second year the curriculum is divided in various branches. It includes all the courses and practicals.

College provides internship not to all students and only some of them are able to avail the facility. College has a agreement with german universities and every year student exchange program takes place and students from foriegn college come here and our college students go there. I being currently in second year does not know about the internship experience as i have not done any one. But generally a stipned of 10k is provided and good companies take students for internship and even students get pre placement offers.

Placement statics of the college is good. Many renowned comapnies visit our campus and students are placed with decent packages. Computer science department has highest placement with maximum of 60 lakhs from google and the 21 lakhs from amazon. Average placement is over 10 lakhs and 90 percent of students get placed in this department of the college. Other departments have an average placement but is above 50 percent in every department. Civil department has least placement with average of 5 lakhs and only 50 % placement record.

Not much events are organized in this college but still are many. These have increased over the year and will continue to increase. Major events are the scholar"s cup and the blitzchlag. These are the major events in the college. Blitzschlag is the cultural event of the college. Mst is also organized which is the yearly sports event of the college. No technical fest is organized in the college since the past two years. Small events by various societies are organized regularly. But there is a lack of inter hostel activities in the college.

Fee structure is expensive as compared to other colleges. It is the most expensive of all the nits that are there in the country. 4 year engineering costs 6 lakhs for a student. With very expensive hostel charges of 8500 per semester whereas other nits have just 1000 per semester. The college and internet fees is on higher side.

OPJEMS scholarship is given to meritious students in the college. There is as such no scholarship for the students from college side but various other scholarships are given to the students like the ongc, swami vivekanad etc. No loan facility from college one will have to approach a bank for taking the loan facility. Regular update for the various scholarships is given by the college to all the students through website.

Campus life is good as we have a good shopping complex near the college campus and within 15 minutes one can reach there. All good food chains are located in one kilometer radius of the college like the macdonalds, KFC, Pizzahut etc. Many events take place in the college and one can participate in them but not much encouragement is given to these. The events organized are not to a large scale and are limited to college students and thus no proper competition is provided for students to grow and rise high. Labs are well equipped but are old and most of the apparatus is either non functional or giving wrong results.

Hostel facilities are just average.A new hostel aurobindo has been built but lacks maintenance in all terms. Neither the rooms are maintained and neither the lifts. out of 12 lifts one can only see one lift working and that too only sometimes. 1st year has to share rooms. in a room three people are there from 2 nd year we have single rooms.Hostels seats are limited and are not provided to the residents of jaipur. The fee is very much for each semester one has to pay 8500. Power cuts are common for small duration and there are days when one will not even have water in taps. Water shortage is a major issue in college. Mess is private and the food provided is just edible and is not upto the mark. the menu lacks variety and is expensive with 18500 per semester

The alumni network is not upto the mark but steps are being taken in order to establish a strong alumni network of the college. Recently alumni meet was organized in which all the alumni's were invited to the college for lunch and by this a good network will be generated. Internship in this college is given using the alumni network. There is no ragging by the senior students whatsoever. The senior students are helpful and they cooperate with the juniors. In these alumni day the alumni contacts with the students and thus a strong relationship is generated amongst the alumni and the current students of the college

The exam structure of the college is good and frequently tests the skills acquired by the students in the whole semester. There are 2 mid terms and then end term is there. Every subject has 100 marks and these are divided as 20 in 1st mid term, 20 in 2nd mid term and then 40 in end term with 20 marks for assignments and internal marks. Exams lasts for 6 days one exam each day. The practicals are just before the end term and the exam schedule is not very hectic and one can easily follow the schedule.

The faculty of the college is well trained and qualified. All the professors are having a PHD degree and have an experience not less than 5 years. So the faculty here is good.
