My college Experience

BA Economics is a 3 year degree and the college follows semester system , Our syllabus was built in such a way that gave us practical as well as theoretical knowledge equally, We were given research based assignments and projects which helped us understand the real world economic problems .

The college provides career counselling under which several aptitude and personality tests are conducted , which helped me understanding the advantages and disadvantages of different courses and that is how i decided to take MBA because the college made me realize where my skills lies . They also conducted training programs with agencies like Catalyst Education , ICT Academy , The Ma Foi Foundation etc. The college also offered career oriented courses to develop our skills like computerized accounting , advanced sericulture etc.

The fees was literally the thing which attracted me toward the college , the total fees for one year for BA was RS. 654 . The fees is very less as compared to rest of the colleges in the area which makes it easier for the students who can not afford for expensive colleges.

The college provides several scholarships , RESIDENTIAL AND NON RESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP to BC, MBC/DNC , ADI DRAVIDA WELFARE SCHOLARSHIP to the STS AND STs and the freedom fighter scholarships. The eligibilty criteria and the details are given in the website.

The college gave importance to other activities equally as it did to educational activities, We had annual sports meet every year also celebrated yoga day and the college organised swimming competitions , I remember i took part in the district level badminton competition. We also have NSS , YRC, RRC which conducted several blood camps.

When I took admission in the college for BA. Economics the minimum eligibility was passing 12th from a recognized board with any subject where as for other courses there were certain subjects which were must.. I had to pay RS. 50 for the application , for the ST , SCs the application was free and there was also certain age limit . The college also follows reservation policy by the state.

The faculty members of our college are actually very good , they are very professional yet very friendly . I remember every member teaching as well as non-teaching staff were very helpful to all the students , they literally gave their best so that we could flourish.
