Being one of the most pioneering Medical colleges in the country,CMC is MCI recognised and holds affiliation from Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University,Chennai. As a student ,I have had a beautiful journey in my years of graduation in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course structure is basically based on theoritical and practical aspects.The University conducts exams yearly and the practicals and model exams are held monthly to make students gain the clinical practice.The exams are a hard nut to crack because it requires sheer hard work and command of the subjects to get through all of them.It so happens that the prior weeks to the exam are really hectic and full of tension and stress .
Placement Experience
In this world of cut throat competition and rat race, CMC provides with the best of internship opportunities to aid students enhance their clinical learning and practice.On a regular basis,postings are done from all the Medical departments under Compulsory Residential Rotatory Internship or C.R.R.I which is a year long period of practice with a pay of INR 20000 per month.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The overall course costs about a total of INR 73000 for a full time degree in 5years 6 months time period which is a total of tuition fees,Library charges,University fees and all other required fees.It is no doubt very feasible as compared to other colleges in the lists.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college keeping in mind that students enroll from all the economic backgrounds alsos provides various scholarships to aid students in their field of interest.There are many scholarships for the students with economically weaker background and also the students who grab the place in merit lists are rewarded with college merit scholarships.
Campus Life
The college is not only focuses on provide excellent academic support but also helps students polish their creative and cultural aspects and for this the college organises many cultural events throught the year .Every year ANASTOMOSIS- an inter college level Sports meet is held in which various competitions are held and the winners receive their rewards either in the form of prize money or trophies.Hostel day celebrations,Quiz competitions Convocation ceremony,Festive celebrations and batch tours are also organised for the students.
Hostel Facilities
The college provides separate hostel facility for boys and girls well connected to the resource centres and playgrounds.Sports complex and cafeterias are the other basic facilities provided to aid the students train themselves physically and mentally. The infrastructure is excellent and so is the atmosphere of the college.
Admission
The first and the foremost thing which I did was to register under the NEET -UG (Tamil Nadu) Couselling which is a two round online process for further selection.I had a good NEET scorecard and thus my selection and shortlisting was quite easy after which I completed the admission formalities by reporting to the college.
Faculty
Our college has commendable faculty members who are not only highly qualified but also are equipped with proper experience and knowledge about the theoritical and practical aspects of the subjects.Their guidance and supervision through all the years have been of great importance to polish on my skills and learning.
