NIE conducts research including interventional studies, disease modelling and health systems, conducts epidemiological investigations and clinical trials of traditional remedies. The Institute furnishes information on request to any citizen visiting its office. It also places many scientific documents.
Course Curriculum Overview
The student is expected to develop the following seven technical core competencies: Understand the scope and concepts and master the methods in epidemiology, the course curriculum is not very vast and long. It is a short process. Both practical paper and theory paper included in the course. Exams are concluded once only after the course fully completes. The certificate is given after the exam results.
Placement Experience
This is a certification course and it definitely offers good job opportunities and placements for the students. Most of the aspirants doing this course are already working professionals and this certificate is an added qualification.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course fees are affordable. It is not very high. Fees are taken once in the time of admission and all the aspirants doing this course should submit the course fees online. The fees for this certification course is reasonable. Tuition fee is Rs. 1 lakh and total year is Rs. 1 Lakh and the grand total is Rs. 2 Lakhs
Campus Life
NIE has a well-equipped state-of-the art laboratory for public health training and advanced research activities in the field of epidemiology. The laboratory facilities are created in 14000sq.ft area for routine and special investigations. Latest gym equipment? are installed for the use of Staff & Hostilities. The institute workshop, guest lecture, Journal club will be conducted mostly here.
Admission
A selection committee constituted by SCTIMST and NIE will select the candidates based on the following: Review of the application form, Written test (if necessary), Personal interview at NIE, Chennai, Reservation of seats will be as per Government of India norms being followed by SCTIMST. Mere possession of the eligibility criteria will not entail selection for the candidates.
Faculty
College faculties are genuinely nice in behavior. They are also kind and polite. They always try to maintain a friendly relationship with the students which is exceptionally good. Their effort in this course is much affordable. It is a lovely training Institute for all those who have joined.
