Course Curriculum Overview
BA LLB subjects included both Arts/Humanities subjects such as Sociology, Philosophy, History, Political Science, etc. and Law subjects such as Family Law, International Law, Constitutional Law, etc. Apart from these theory subjects, practical training is also provided in the form of moot courts, case studies, research work, and law internships, which made this course interactive and interesting. Exams were also based on famous case studies.
Placement Experience
USLLS provided good placement and career opportunities to graduating students. I and my batchmates got opportunities to work as Lawyers, Litigators and members of top law firms, even as Paralegal and Lecturers. We managed to have excellent corporate law profiles, doing internships with the leading law firms in India. We were also allowed to pursue litigation as our career choice if we have undertaken apprenticeship under reputed litigation lawyers and judges
College Events
Every year college celebrated all common events such as Teachers day and National day functions. Apart from that there were many events celebrated such as Jail Awareness Programme, Legal Literacy Campaigns, Lok Adalats, Street Plays and it enabled us to get along with faculties as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Total fees for this course was around Rs.1.5 Lakhs per annum and it was feasible for students who chose this course as it not only dealt with education but also provided us a lot of facilities which every student enjoyed such as WiFi, library etc. The hostel fee for students comes around Rs.63000 per year where the food and facilities was up to the mark.
Campus Life
The institute offered us various facilities like cafeteria, hostels, etc. Many case studies were discussed in class, which helped us grasp knowledge easily. The college encouraged us to participate in sports and events and encouraged us to represent the college to win prizes.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni was considered as one of the college assets as various areas of law and the placement and internship cell of the school had been reaching out to me and my batch and previous batches and they have been receiving a positive and enthusiastic responses and this connection acted as a lifeline for students and motivation for present batch.
Admission
I had to clear the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT UG) which was conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and I was also expected minimum 50% marks in 12th class of 10+2 of CBSE and as I cleared both it took one way further to get admission in this course.
Faculty
Our college had the best experienced staffs in our institute. All faculty of college were very knowledgeable and hard working. Some of the teachers are so helpful that if you have any doubt at night. The faculties of the institute were appointed after thorough procedures of testing and qualification checks. Some staffs were lawyers and they helped us get maximum knowledge by explaining us the real situation and live demonstration and explaining with case studies.
