My Journey with Geetanjali college

The college has an excellent infrastructure,great faculty and also is one of the pioneering institutes to pursue a career in Science.Holistically the college is really stupendous in providing quality education and building career.

In the initial years,the course may not seem to be tough but in the last two years is when the real course is taught.Exams are conducted on a 6 months basis and there are pre university exams before the final university exams conducted to make students have a grip over the aspects of the course.

The college has really good placement opportunities for the deserving students.The students can either join in as a professional in the field at the Hospital by the college itself or can join other hospitals and establish themselves as a professional.

The college every year organises 2 week fest that is 1 week for Sports events and 1 week for cultural events and competitions and students participate willfully and with full enthusiasm in them.The college fest ends with a full night celebration wherein the winners are rewarded in cash and kind.It is really superb to be a part of these events.Other than that the college also celebrates Women's day and all important days in Medical history and science.

For pursuing M.B.B.S ,it takes around a grand total of around INR 4.4 Lakhs which includes Tution fees and other facilities charges.Being a private college,the fees structure is quite expensive for those who belong to the economically weaker sections of the society.

The college has students from both the genders that too in almost equal ratios so there is no space for discrimination or inequality or domination.There are workshops and seminars organised for updating students with information on the latest advancements in the clinical field and it is an excellent place for learning.

The college hostels are quite good for students coming from far off places to accomodate themselves as it makes them more familiar with the college atmosphere.The cleaning of the hostel premises is done weekly.The food in the mess is good but there is a decided menu according to which the food is served.

The college admission take place through selection based on the NEET-UG scorecard.I was shortlisted in the M.B.B.S stream in the first round of selection process.No doubt ,the selection was tough but my scores were pretty good to get through the process.

I must say the college faculty is well-qualified and every teacher of the institute is master of their own subject.They are really supportive ,helpful and at timea understanding as well.Not only this ,while students are taught to actually practice the diagnosis in the subjects,the faculty members try to make them comfortable with the process.At any point of time,they are approachable not only for course related queries but also for getting guidance on professional experiences.
