Entrance Preview
I have given SRM entrance exam which consists of both technical and aptitude MCQ. I scored 2700 rank which was a good rank. I joined SRM because it was the top Deemed University in India with a well built infrastructure and global exposure which made join this University .
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum was very detailed and clear. Electives were started from 5th semester and most of them were interesting topics. Each semester we had 3 electives which made our studies more interesting.
Internships Opportunities
We had to do 2 internships with each 15-20 days of duration in a company related to our course which is to be authorized by our CEO which makes it valuable. Speaking of stipend we general doesn't get in our college but college will help all aspects to students to get a good opportunities.
Placement Experience
SRM UNIVERSITY is known for it's campus placements students will be given ample options but most of them will be IT companies. Core companies will be relatively less and more compitation.
Fee Structure And Facilities
SRM fee is more as we have Indias best labs and infrastructure and global exposure. The pay is Rs. 1,50,000/- per year for tuition fee and Rs. 80,000/- for hostel. Which is not affordable.
Fees and Financial Aid
Speaking of scholarship in every department top 10% students get scholarships which makes it even interesting to study. Most of the banks will provide loans for Studies in SRM. Some forms like CRADI also gives loan at an interest of 10.5%.
Alumni/Alumna
As of now the Alumni network is not so good in our University. Recently they have started alumni society which has not yet given expected outputs. But they are taking all necessary actions to make it big ND useful.
Exam Structure
We have a well structured marking system with 2 cycle tests each 10 marks, one model 20 marks and 50 marks for final exam which makes a total of 4 set of examinations In a span of 4 months. So yes we have a lot of examinations In line but one doesn't require to spend lot of time in preparation. You just need to follow classes properly and maintaining class notes.
Faculty
We had many senior faculty with doctorates and experience who shred their knowledge as well as we had some junior lectures. Who helped us to learn things easily with their logic. Over all being in first section we had a good team of faculty who thought us.
