Course Curriculum Overview
The Cachar College is affiliated to the Assam University and the choice based credit system is followed. The course in general is really good and there are lots of lab work and projects in most courses although it may vary from department to department.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities can be improved. You can do internships that you find on your own. The professors are of great help as they do at times help with the application, and give career advice as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure in Cachar College for the normal B.Sc is very affordable for Middle Class individuals. My fee for the first year was 11,480 rupees and the same fee is for all three years of bachelors. This includes all the exam fees, lab fees etc.
Campus Life
Several cultural clubs are in the college such as drama club, literature club, etc. Research meetings are also frequently held. Celebration of cultural festivals such as saraswati puja, etc are also celebrated. Sports events are also held frequently and students are allowed to participate in teams and go for competitions.
Admission
The admission to Cachar College is done through online mode. I had to visit the admission portal and fill in all the details and upload all my documents o the form. There is a registration fees of 200 Rs that you have to pay online as well.
Faculty
The faculty in the college is excellent. They comes from various different backgrounds and they are all very well qualified with at least M.Sc and NET/SET. Many professors also have PhD's and they are all very good teachers.
