Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very good and well balanced. The college has provided access to Google Education and Google Suite and thus the college uses apps like google classroom for updates and other notifications.

Placement Experience

Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith has a placement cell but it is not very active. However there is a career counseling cell and the feedback provided is extremely valuable and helpful for both the current students and the ex students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Fee structure is quite affordable and the college has a leniency in regards to payment and gives you ample amount of time to pay. The Fee for Masters in Bengali is Just Rs. 5000 per year and this includes all the miscellaneous fees such as Exam, Magazine etc.

Campus Life

The college has a lot of diversity and is always open to accepting new students in the college. There are some foreign nationals also. The college also has several cultural events that are held and events such as debate, recitation etc are also held.

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.
